Seems basic, right? But I am amazed (and frustrated) by the number of busine
sses who throw away potential business by not putting their details clearly on their print materials.
It's about business branding as well as communication.
Do You Make These 3 Basic Mistakes With Print Materials?
1. No area code or country code for phone numbers
Even if your business is local, brochures and business cards get passed around.
2. Stamping your details on suppliers' product brochures
- When ink gets smudged - unprofessional & illegible
- In a place where your details cannot be easily found
- Over colors which obscure the text of your details
Stickers
Would a sticker, label or attaching a business card be better?
Can you ask the company to custom print your business name? Make sure you ask to proofread any custom printing of brochures before giving the go ahead.
3. Not including enough contact options
A phone number is not enough. You need an email at the very least. Savvy businesses will offer a number of communication channels to make it easy for clients and potential clients.

Do You Make These Basic Business Card Mistakes?

It's definitely important to take full advantage of the space on printed materials. It's seems like such a waste of money if you fail to use these as marketing tools. You are already spending money on these things, why not double up on their purpose. Everything should be weighed as a marketing opportunity..... because everything usually does present some sort of an opportunity.
