I was pretty pleased and impressed with this personalized service. But I was even more thrilled to receive a lovely surprise in the mail - a thank you note, a business card and a voucher for dinner at a local restaurant.
Partnering With Other Businesses
The computer store owner had partnered with the restaurant in supporting each other - a great idea. On the surface, a computer store and a restaurant have little in common, but they found an area where there customer base overlapped. Partnering with complementary businesses is a great idea.
How Do You Thank Your Customers?
I've told so many people about this experience and referred friends to both the computer business and the restaurant that their investment in thanking me has paid off many times over.
They changed this new customer into an advocate just through a thank you. Saying thank you can make your business stand out from the crowd.
