Have you read the Four Hour Work Week? Tim Ferriss has done a savvy job of selling the concept of how you can have it all.
For some having it all is about money. For others it is about freeing up time. It's also about being in a position to make lifestyle choices. What does success mean to you?
One of the key elements of his success strategy is outsourcing. We outsource as a matter of course for specialist tasks such as legal and financial advice.
We are less attuned to outsourcing the day to day tasks and feel we (or staff) have to cover it. A friend recently hired a virtual assistant to do research for her writing business. Another colleague outsourced the transcription of his podcasts.
Virtual assistants are available for tasks from dealing with emails to writing ebooks or arranging to send flowers.
I'm wondering if there has been an increased awareness and demand for virtual assistants from the publicity generated by The Four Hour Work Week. If you're a virtual assistant, maybe you could share your thoughts on this.
Have you used a virtual assistant? I'd love you to share any tips or insights.

As a Virtual Assistant (VA), I have seen a huge increase in demand for Virtual Assistant services. Not to mention, different price ranges to fit EVERY budget.
I have seen the Four Hour Work Week mentioned before in other forums and posts, so I think it might of helped some.
However, small business owners and executives are just becoming aware that working with a VA saves money and time. It is much more affordable then hiring someone to work in your office as an employee.
VA's are specialized and already have all the equipment necessary to perform the tasks you need.
