Technology has enabled us to connect faster and farther than ever before. As we type, tweet and text we may be overlooking a simple but powerful marketing tool – the handwritten note.
aciously handling a high profile case, to a business leader who was the subject of a front page article and to clients at the conclusion of a project. One advantage to the handwritten note – it is always read.
Notes are sometimes kept and read multiple times. Can you say the same about an email or printed direct mail piece?
Your note does not have to be long or eloquent. A simple message of thanks, congratulations or even “thought this would interest you” is sufficient. The recipient will feel special that you put pen to paper just for them. For less than a cup of coffee, you can bring a smile to someone’s face and increase your bottom line.

This is such a good point! Handwritten notes are more powerful now than ever because they are so rare. I personally feel a written note comes across as more genuine and heartfelt, as opposed to an e-mail that can be quickly copied and pasted.
