Home is where the heart is, but Bill Freehling of The Freelance Gazette reports that "Home is where the job is."
Monday is the sixth annual Doing Business In Your Bathrobe Day.
Freehling quotes the founder of Doing Business In Your Bathrobe Day, Kristie Tamsevicius.
Bathrobes aren't just for lounging around anymore. In fact, they've become the emblem of freedom for a growing class of entrepreneurs--work-from-home moms.
These determined professionals have shrugged off their tailored suits and heels in search of a comfortable work/life balance.
Offices often have casual Friday. If you work from home as a telecommuter or small business owner, you can dress casual all the time, except for business meetings.![]()
Some home business workers, say they don't feel ready for work until they put on their "work clothes", as if they were going to the office.
Others who work at home say they enjoy being able to working in their pyjamas or casual wear, if they feel like it.
This ability to make a choice is the badge of freedom, for the growing number of people who choose to work from home.
If you work from home, do you prefer to wear your office clothes or go casual?
I guess a bathrobe in the ultimate in casual.
Happy Doing Business In Your Bathrobe Day.

Does this mean that more and more people are starting to accept that working from home is also a real job? I know someone who blogs for a living and is having a hard time explaining everything to her family. Granted, she's still in college. However, until she announced how much she was earning a month, none of her family members seemed to take her work seriously.
