I was quite inspired to read about Teri Wilson who bought his gym business, Fitness Paradise, in 2006.
He was interviewed by The Sydney Morning Herald. Teri shares 4 basic tips for success.
1. Begin with the end in mind
2. Make big plans but don't forget the little things
3. Dominate your online presence
4. Keep a balance in your life![]()
Teri Wilson has a bold plan.
His grand vision over the next few years is to transform his compact gym in the main street of Port Douglas to a major wellness centre offering everything from fitness classes, martial arts, massages, beauty services, nutrition and boot camps.
What struck me though, is the concept of doing one thing purposefully each day. It's very easy to get into the cycle of playing catch up in a small business, especially when you are a sole proprietor or have limited manpower.
Doing one small positive thing each day to move the business forward seems like a proactive and rewarding approach. It's the old adage, you need to take time to work on the business, not just in the business.
It looks like Teri Wilson is doing just that. There are valuable lessons to learn here for small business owners and managers.
