Small Biz Mentor Readers Comment On The Power Of Handwritten Thank You Notes

It seems that Small Biz Mentor readers agree about the power and potential of handwritten thank you notes.

I'd like to share some insights left by readers in the comments section on my post, The Power Of Handwritten Thank You Notes In Business & In Shaping A Business Culture.

Raymond Chua from the Law of Attraction agreed it was a good idea, and was curious about whether to give them in person or not.

I responded that both giving handwritten notes in person and leaving them as a surprise could be well received. Some people also send handwritten thank you notes or cards by snail mail.

Cindy Posey from Go Work Out Mom said,

In today's technology driven world, handwritten letters, notes, and Thanks You's are rare. It's a special thought and let's the person know you care.

I personally wrote letters/thanks you's to the moms in my MOMS Club. They were amazed. It's such a simple jester, but the idea that you take time to recognize another person means the world.

Don Miller at Making Sales Making Money added,

I so much agree with this post... thank you's play such a large role in establishing relationships.

Robert Henru at Reason-4-Smile offered some additional insights and shared a Joel Osteen quote "Your thoughts do not bless anybody but you…"

Robert went on to say,

No matter how thankful we are, no point if we don't express it. Even a simple notes matter and a written "thank you" note is really a great idea.

Yvonne, thank you for sharing!

Robert has written his own post about encouraging others, which reminds us,

...isn’t it better to send a short note saying “great job,” than not sending a more elaborate note because I don’t have time to write it?

Anne-Marie Nichols at the Write Spot takes us full circle back to the example I gave about the principal encouraging the teacher with handwritten thank you notes.

She shares,

Interesting about the principal, because my son's principal also sends out hand written thank yous to parents, kids, staff and hand signed ALL the holiday cards that went out to the kids this year. It's a terrific way to show the families that he cares.

Power Of Handwritten Thank You Notes
I think we all agree on the power of handwritten thank you notes, both in business and in other settings. Everyone likes to be appreciated, and a thank you note doeesn't take long to write.
