Today I picked up a business card at o
ne of my favorite Indian restaurants.
Dual Company Business Card
I turned it over and noted that it was double sided. It was a dual company business card. On one side was the restaurant I was visiting. On the other side was another Indian restaurant in a neighboring town.
I'd been thinking of visiting the second one. The affiliation with the well known one gave me the assurance that it was quality. I will be visiting there soon.
It got me to thinking. There may be other reasons you could share business cards. It's not so much about saving half the cost of the business card. Instead it's about networking and using each other's networks to get the word out.
Possibilities For Shared Business Cards
- You own both businesses
- A family member owns the other business
- Complementary business (as opposed to competitors) e.g. a hairdresser and a nail salon
- A similar business in another town
Can you think of other reasons for shared business cards? Have you tried this strategy?

Used correctly, this is a great idea. I always suggest to my clients that they full advantage of their business cards -- using both sides. It's one of their least expensive ways to increase marketing efforts. However, I have not thought about this idea. The possibilities are limited only to one's imagination.
