More people decide to start their own business in January than any other month, according to research carried out by one of Bytestart's partners, home business website Enterprise Nation.
A new year is a fresh start for new beginnings, including setting up your own small business it seems.
Why would you start a business in January?
1. Finish up at your work a day job at the end of a year- nice and neat for you and for your employer.
2. The end of the year is a tangible goal to aim for in terms of planning and getting things ready for the transition.
3. The beginning of the year is a logical time to start, pyschologically as well as practically.
Of course, the best time to start a new business is when you have researched it, and have all your finances and strategies in place... basically, when you have all your ducks in a row.
It seems that for most people that is January.
