Tip of the hat to fellow Aussie blogger Sueblimely for alerting me that today, Thursday January 24th is Thank Your Mentor Day in the U.S.
Americans across the country will participate in Thank Your Mentor Day™ by reaching out to thank or honor those individuals who encouraged and guided them, and who had a lasting impact on their lives.
Thank Your Mentor Day™ is a highlight of the 7th Annual National Mentoring Month, a campaign held each January to recruit volunteer mentors to help young people achieve their full potential. Lead spokespersons for this year's campaign are General Colin Powell, Grammy Award-winning R&B recording artist Usher, and music icon Quincy Jones.
Thank Your Mentor Day™ is an initiative of the Harvard Mentoring Project of the Harvard School of Public Health.
I always think in a world looking for closer connections, it's a shame that non country specific events aren't billed as global, rather than national.
International Thank Your Mentor Day™ has a nice ring to it, don't you agree?
In any case, I'm joining in Thank Your Mentor Day™ from the land down under. Sueblimely of Blogging Sueblimely has developed the Blog Mentor Award to mark the occasion.
I hereby award it... drumroll.... to one of my blog mento
rs here at Know More Media, Easton Ellsworth.
Easton is an inspiration and never too busy to give helpful advice or support. Thanks Easton. Happy Thank Your Mentor Day!
Sueblimely has kindly offered the Blog Mentor Award for use to all. Just link back to her site, so she can keep a record of Blog Mentors and Blog Mentees.
- Who would you award the Blog Mentor Award to?

Thank you so much, Yvonne! I know I have a lot to improve but I am glad I could be of help to you in your path to ever-increasing success.
