Provide A Pleasant Christmas Atmosphere For Your Customers

Many small business retailers do a button%20customer%20service.pnggreat job of helping to make shopping in their store stress free.

Stress Free Christmas For Customers & Retailers
I touched on this in my post 10 Tips To Help Your Customers Have A Stress Free Christmas. Hopefully, it will be stress free for small business retailers as well.

Staying Customer Focused At Christmas
While being customer focused is a given, it's not always easy in busy times. There are more demands on your time, and customers are often not as patient.

Financial Stress For Small Business Owners
There is also the stress of the financial imperative to have a good Christmas business wise. Many small business retail stores say they do at least 30-40 % of their business in the last quarter.

Often retailers rely on the Christmas trade for the cash flow for the following year. This creates a pressure in itself.

Provide A Welcoming Environment
Customers will be more likely to be patient and understanding (and hopefully buy more), if you've taken the trouble to provide a pleasant shopping experience. Providing a friendly, welcoming easy to navigate environment and some Christmas atmosphere is the first step.

Provide A Pleasant Store Environment And Atmosphere
You don't have to have a multitude of decorations. Nor do they need to be expensive, but some savvy Christmas touches add a lot of atmosphere. If you decide on Christmas music, keep it as background music.

Creativity Doesn't Need To Be Expensive
Some stores make the mistake of wheeling out the same tired, dusty and faded decorations year after year. Mix it up a little, and keep it interesting.
