The New Customer Relationship - Video

This is a very clever video showing the changing nature of the advertiser  - customer relationship.

It depicts a slick man (Advertiser) and a girl (Consumer) in a restaurant date setting. The advertiser is having no luck wooing the consumer.

A Changing Consumer Base - We Need To Listen
He thinks he knows what she wants, but he isn't listening. She walks away saying that she has changed, and he hasn't.

This video sums up the advertiser-customer relationship beautifully, and has relevance for any business owner - customer relationship, not just in the advertising context.

I first came across this video on the Blogging For Business Conference site in a section on Blogs & The New Customer Relationship.

In one keynote it was noted

"...that communication between a company and its customers needs to change. This dawning realization isn’t limited to just the online sector.

All it takes is one company within an industry to step forward and begin engaging their customers in honest, open conversation.

Once an audience experiences a business where they’re being spoken with, as opposed to just being spoken to, they won’t willingly go back."
The video has struck a chord, and has had great success. Find out more about the video and award winning campaign at Bring The Love Back.

This is one of those rare advertising campaigns which effectively combines the message with fun and finesse - Brilliant!

Good video Yvonne! Listening is one of the most vital business skills that there is.

Thanks, Laura.

I predict this video will get a fair bit of airplay at seminars around the country, as it makes the point so well, and with a touch of humor.
