As a small business owner, business travel
is often a matter of being on the lookout for a good deal to stretch the budget.
Even if you travel business class or first class, you ain't seen nothin' yet, until you see the A380 Airbus from Singapore Airlines (SIAL.SI).
The inaugural A380 Airbus flight from Singapore to Sydney touched down with a perfect landing, to the cheers of passengers and onlookers.
Despite its huge size, the A380 glided in very elegantly with 455 passengers and 30 crew onboard. As tall as an eight storey building, the A380 can hold 853 passengers at full capacity.
First Class Luxury Suites
First class suites off a long hallway looked more like the Orient Express Train, than an airplane. For those who cringe at the thought of being all cramped up in "cattle class", the suites offer not only a seat, but a flat bed and a widescreen TV - luxury! Now that's business travel in style. There are also business and economy class seats.
Gourmet Meals Prepared Onboard
Sydney gourmet chef, Matt Moran supervised a nine course meal for first class passengers on this historic flilght. 1996 Dom Perignon Rose was served. Passengers had to bid for their tickets in an online auction. Some tickets sold for over $100 000.
