Okay, writers!  Are you looking for something to keep you busy this weekend?  If so, there are conferences and deadlines to keep track of!  If you're anywhere near Wye Mills, Maryland, tomorrow's the Bay to Ocean Writers Conference.  According to their listing in the February edition of The Writer, this conference features writers, editors, publishers, a literary agent and more than a dozen workshops for writers working on fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. 

If you're a bit further south, try out the South Carolina Book Festival in Columbia on the 25th and 26th of February.  Sponsored by the Humanities Council SC, this annual gathering features authors, exhibitors, and booksellers.  You can attend readings, book signings, and shop til you drop.

Don't forget the AWP Writers Conference in Atlanta next week too!  Beginning February 28th, it ends March 3rd.  This one's a doozy with several hundred presentations (ranging from informal gatherings and dances to forums and lectures) drawing upwards of 4,000 attendees!
