Long Time, No See!

Hi there!  Happy New Year (or several of them; if you celebrate the Chinese New Year, you know the 18th marked the beginning of the Year of the Pig!) and a belated happy holidays to you all.  You may have noticed that SmallBizMentor's been pretty quiet.  Wondering why?

Well, I needed to take a bit of a leave of absence for medical reasons.  Let's just say that first trimester was a real doozy, leaving me way more fatigued than with my first child.  Of course, those of you with kiddos around the home biz know that anything is harder when there's already a child that needs your attention, especially when you're homeschooling in addition to everything else.

Luckily for me, the kind folks here at Know More Media were willing to let me take a bit of a break while my body worked on a much more important project.  (He's due in July, by the way.)  Laughing  As an independent contractor, I know that's not always acceptable!  However, I've gotten my energy back, and I've missed sharing ideas, links, and stories of other small- and home-based business owners with y'all.

You'll probably see a few changes here and there on both SmallBizMentor and also on Workerette.com, another KMM blog I co-author with Amy Vedova-Phillips.  I'm looking forward to doing more blogtipping, spreading plenty of link love, and getting to know new visitors while catching up with those of you who were very loyal during 2006.

Leave me a comment and let me know what you'd like to see more of this year here at SmallBizMentor!

Congratulations to you and your family. That's very exciting. I'd say 80% of my friends had it rough that first trimester with their first kiddos.

With you revamp, if you need any security tips, help stemming workplace technology risk or how to deal with sensitive data vulnerabilities, feel free to contact me.

Congrats Again!

Thanks, Marilee! Know More Media covers those issues on this blog and Workerette.com, but when I'm ready to build my own site/blog for other endeavors, I may well need your assistance!

Congratulations to you and to your family! I remember first trimester was the hardest for me with my first born. I am sure as you are beginning to nest and the excitement is kicking in. I hope the next few months go smooth for you!

As things begin to get busier for you let me know if you want to find out more about fulfillment solutions that are especially designed for small business owners.
