Your entry must be postmarked by Saturday, 24 February. The contest is open to individuals over the age of 21 who are not currently enrolled in a university.
Next deadline to beat is for the Sylvia K. Burack Scholarship Award, sponsored by The Writer. For this contest, you must submit a 600- to 800-word personal essay (in English) on a topic you feel passionate about. The contest is open to college students in the U.S. and Canada. You must be over the age of 18 and able to prove full-time college enrollment. The winner will receive $500 and a year's subscription to the magazine.
