Every business owner needs to find ways to market their products and services in a unique, eye-catching way that will also be "sticky". Not only do you need to make the potential customer want the product, you need to make them remember they wanted it, and preferably how to buy it from you.
I read about a novel way of spreading the word about products and organizations in Fast Company today. Not content with the opportunities offered by new media and online banner ads, some companies are going with ad spots in locations such as parking lot stripes, electrical outlets in airport terminals, and urinals.
Yes. Urinals. Seriously.
According to Jennifer Pollack's article "Can Your Banner Ad Do This?", companies such as Viacom's Country Music Television (CMT) and Molson beer have tried to target their um, captive audience's attention with the Wizmark, a bit of advertising technology that really wins first prize for originality in my book.
And I thought those ad boards on the back of stall doors in the women's restroom were savvy. Wow!
