- The Short-Form Writing Competition with Amazon Shorts is an opportunity for participants to be submitted to Amazon for publication. Four stories will be selected each month for consideration for publication. Works must be between 2,000 and 10,000 words in length and may not be previously published. Visit AmazonShorts.Gather.com for the legalities.
- July is open submissions month over at Tupelo Press. Entries must be postmarked by 31 July 2006. Poetry submissions will receive a short critique; the editors of Tupelo Press will read all of the manuscripts submitted. Visit their site for the details on submitting work for consideration.
