In the past we've discussed how creating a good, solid network with other small business owners can build profits and exposure for your business and brand, and how it can lead to cross-promotion and sales opportunities. We've also touched on how helpful it is to have colleagues to keep us sane, even for the most introverted of entrepreneurs.
Karen Eng of Cybernet System Management shares some insight about her network and how it came to be (and how it stays in place) over at Fortune Small Business. As much as I enjoyed her comments about how she met each of her fellow entrepreneurs, my favorite part of this piece is the end. She really hits the nail on the head when she says, "I could run my business without these guys, but I wouldn't want to."
That is what a good small-business network is all about!
(PS Notice FSB's offer to feature other small-business owners who wish to share lessons they've learned. Could be a premium time for you to get some publicity and exposure for your business!)
