A new way to run a business has brought a whole new meaning to the term "road warrior". Not just used for those who are constantly on the go for the company's cause, this term can now refer to those who are actually operating their entire business on the road. Literally, thanks to technology such as Wi-Fi, satellite Internet, cell phones and RVs.
Yes, RVs, as in recreational vehicles! Several times I've noticed the press releases sent out by Mark Gregorich, who is traveling the country with his wife, Crickett and their two sons. (Even the dog is in on the act!) Now you can get to know them and other RV owners/entrepreneurs who have hit the road thanks to the flexibility of being their own bosses thanks to this article over on Yahoo! News.
For those of you who are considering a home-based business that, well, finds its home wherever you hang your hat, notice the homeschooling as well. Some entrepreneurs choose to use technology and travel to keep the family unit close, cohesive and well-educated. Homeschooling mom Diane Flynn Keith has even become well-known in the education community for her book, Carschooling.
This is where my Little and I will be headed in the next few months, minus the RV. Thank goodness for laptops and cell phones. Maybe we'll see you on the road somewhere!
