I originally planned to make this week's Start-Up Saturday entries full of links to resources and reviews of magazines, but I received a set of "Meet & Greet" responses that so deeply reflect what I consider to be the heart of entrepreneurial endeavors that I've decided to let those links wait until later. You recently met Diane Ensey of Beyond Paper in a Meet & Greet, and now I've got some insight and inspiration for you from one of her mentees, Rita Ballard of Healer's Helper.
Why do I feel Rita's responses are worth bumping my more traditional type of entries? Number one, because nothing says encouragement for other start-ups as well as hearing from one of our own who is thriving. Number two, because as Virtual Assistants, both Rita and Diane offer services that could benefit the solopreneur who is in need of assistance but unable (or unwilling) to hire on an actual employee to perform an administrative assistant's duties.
Ready to meet Rita? Read on!
My name is Rita Ballard. I actually have two separate businesses: Healer’s Helper, at HealersHelper.com, 877-716-4880, Info@healershelper.com. And the other one is RitaBallard.com, 360-736-2000, hh@ucmax.com
* Please describe the business you operate or service(s) you provide to clients and customers. Healer’s Helper is my virtual assistance business. I provide administrative support to the healing professions, which basically means any practitioner who promotes health and well being. My other business is my hypnotherapy practice, which is just my name. I provide hypnotherapy and therapeutic touch. I have been working with a couple of the local hospices as a Comfort Therapist.

Melonie, thanks for the Meet and Greet posts which allow us to see into the lives and work of such interesting people!
