Meet & Greet: Noelle Wong (Part 4)

* What accomplishments are you most proud of during your career? Has your business or product won any awards, mentions in the press, garnered praise in reviews or by users, or helped someone overcome a challenge of their own? Tell us about it!

It’s easy to be proud of every good that has been achieved in business. Yet each good thing comes and goes. My emotions and self confidence in the past have gone up and down with good and bad times. Now I just take it easy, and realize up and down is the nature of business and life, and take life as it comes. To recognize this isn’t easy, so I can say it’s what I’m most proud of.

* Without spilling the beans, what is in the works for your business or product line for 2006? Where are you headed, and where do you hope to be by the end of the year? What about the coming years? Share your goals with us and tell us how you plan to achieve them.

While I do not have lofty goals of my own, a client of mine (who is also a great friend) wants me to be in the Oprah show. Maybe she has bigger dreams for me than I do for myself!

Rather than just dealing with the outer image, I’m now moving more into freeing the body from limitations. I’m doing much reading on that now and also experiments. Maybe sometime in the future I can weave this into the business.

* Have you worked with a mentor who has led you far? Take a moment to recognize their contribution(s) and we’ll all applaud with you!

There are a few people who I’d like to recognize for their contribution:

Karen Brunger, my teacher in image consulting. Without her I wouldn’t know where to begin in the industry.

Ted Barton, my business advisor for the year while I was taking the Self Employment Benefits Program. I learned from him how to be flexible in my business, and to charge what I am worth.

The Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario, where I earned my undergraduate degree in Honors Business Administration. Without the wonderful professors I wouldn’t know how to deal with finances and marketing.

My dad, an entrepreneur, who taught me much about business while I worked along side with him for almost 2 years.
