* What do you enjoy the most about operating your business? What tasks would you perform even if it had nothing to do with the successful operation of your company?
I love seeing the transformation of each client. Each of them always gains more self-confidence, and each of them learns how to express their creativity via clothing and grooming. I like to see this even if I’m not in the business. It makes me happy to see people shine in their best potential.
* What is the least enjoyable part of operating your business? Are there any tasks you’d gladly delegate to anyone else, no matter what the price?
When it is time, I would definitely delegate bookkeeping.
* What’s the worst advice you’ve been given with regard to building or operating your business? How about the best advice?
Worst advice: attending most small business networking groups. I have met mostly desperate entrepreneurs who would talk to everyone they can about their business without listening to others.
Best advice: stop attending networking meetings. I just market my business via the internet instead.
* What challenges have you overcome during your endeavor? Please describe something that impacted you financially or intellectually and how you got past it.
Slow seasons – I used to fret about money when things got slow. Now I know that I can find temp jobs to fill in those times. Sometimes a business needs time to take off, and it’s OK.
