*What accomplishments are you most proud of during your career? Has your business or product won any awards, mentions in the press, garnered praise in reviews or by users, or helped someone overcome a challenge of their own? Tell us about it!
I think what makes me most proud is being able to help a lot of people, which is something I’ve done recently with a simple diagram. It’s called "Web Standards in a Nutshell" and it explains very simply the basic elements of web standards without going into any real detail. I’ve also just finished the bi-annual CSSReboot which was a really great experience, pushing me beyond my limits. Earlier this month I was also invited to be a part of 9rules, a group of bloggers with great content. I’ve really enjoyed that so far. The people are so nice and very diverse too!
* Have you worked with a mentor who has led you far? Take a moment to recognize their contribution(s) and we’ll all applaud with you!
Nathan Smith has inspired me a lot. He’s a guy who is very open with his knowledge of design and code, as well as his faith. He’s been a great mentor to me.
Andy Rutledge is another great guy who I’ve learned a lot from. His candor is unmatched, from his critique of design to his coaching the "little guys". I can’t wait to read what he writes about design and I’ve taken a lot from his writing as well as his personality and character.
