The Toronto Star has an interesting article featuring several home-based business owners who have wisely invested time and money into making sure their home-office technology meets their needs and those of their clients. In "Virtual Improvements to a Home Office", writer Rosie Del Campo did us all a favor by featuring one business owner who uses technology to really keep the ball running (and the plates spinning) and also introducing the reader to a telecommuter who had to give in and do some necessary upgrading before things really got humming.
Those of you who are just starting out on your business plans will get some great ideas for what to put on your list of wants, needs, and "hope-to-have someday" lists. Finding yourself less productive these days or wondering how to perk things up? You'll be inspired too. Don't forget, a lot of the office supply stores (Staples, for example) offer businesses rewards programs and business accounts. Make sure you optimize your upgrades by selecting products that will serve your purposes and possibly gain you some goodies down the line as well!
