Alrighty, Small Biz folks, I can't resist passing this information along, just because it's given me a good giggle. Yes, I really did receive a pamphlet in the mail today from the Promotion Marketing Association inviting me to attend their 15th Annual Start Power conference...and "Schmooze-A-Rama". Seriously...it's a registered word!
Okay, giggles aside, this looks interesting. It's touted as "the industry's premier entertainment marketing conference" and it's being held June 6-7, 2006, at the Universal Globe Theatre in Universal City, CA. They say professionals from all ares of entertainment marketing should attend (well, of course they do!). Not sure if that includes you?
Apparently those professionals would be folks involved in:
- Brand, Cause-Related, New Media/Interactive, Retail and International Marketing
- Product Placement
- Advertising and Creative Services
- Public Relations
- Academia
- Sports & Youth Marketing
- Law Firms
And well, gobs of others. Looks like there are a handful of panels and networking opportunities along with the good ol' Schmooze-A-Rama. (I have to stop saying that now, before I lose all semblance of professionalism.)
