In the spirit of spring cleaning, it's time to get organized here at SmallBizMentor.com too! I think you're going to like this, based on the response to Wednesday's Writer Tips.
As you know, I'm pretty big on being prepared and planning ahead. It's time you knew exactly what you can count on here throughout the week...so now you get a calendar!
You'll still get the standard updates on small business news and resources each day, along with the incredibly fun "Meet & Greet" survey responses as they come in. (Don't forget, this is a great way to get some free publicity for your business! Email me for the survey so you, too, can be featured here at SmallBizMentor.com and possibly Workerette.com.) Additionally, though, you'll be able to pop in and read at least one post per day that pertains to a specific area of interest for small business owners. Don't forget to tell your friends and colleagues to stop by to make requests or leave comments with resources, tips, and titles for suggested reading!
Here's the list so far...which is always open to suggestions and requests!
- Marketing Mondays: Marketing and public relations tips and resources that will help you build your brand...and your business.
- Tech Tuesdays: Resources gleaned from the more tech-savvy for those of us who, well, aren't. I'll point you to the folks that are teaching me as I wander through the 21st century as well as products that look interesting to me and useful for you.
- Wednesday Writer Tips: This is for and from you freelancers, self-publishers, and writer wanna-bes. Whether you're in print or still getting there, you'll find links to contests, resources and more.
- Home-Based Thursdays: Whether you're telecommuting or operating a home-based business, Thursday is the day for tips and tricks of the trade. We'll organize your home office, discuss deductions, and consider how to convince your honey (or mother-in-law) that home-based is the wave of the future.
- Franchise Fridays: Considering buying a franchise or offering franchise opportunities from your business? This is the day to look for resources and links to various franchise opps. Keep in mind, I don't own a single franchise, so I'm not endorsing any of 'em. It's up to you to do your due diligence.
- Start-Up Saturdays: Have a dream business in mind but don't know where you'll find support or fit into a niche? Saturday's the day to get the basics, along with some suggestions for getting started.
- Smooth Sundays: Time to sit back, take a break, and have that day of rest. Sundays we'll talk about stressing less, planning more, and just generally being Healthy Entrepreneurs! This includes a trip to The Watercooler for a good giggle. If all goes as planned, I'll even have these written in advance...so we can all read and relax together!
