I picked up the new issue of SmallBiz (Spring 2006) a few days ago and finally got an opportunity to page through it. I can't wait to sit down and really devour this magazine!
If you enjoy reading stories about other inspired entrepreneurs, be sure to read the piece in the "Startups" section about entrepreneurs who are "Hoping for a Hole in One". It's an interesting-looking article about business folk who are making their mark at this year's PGA Show. I'm no golfer (though I do enjoy driving the golf cart...does that count?), but these companies caught not only the eye of SmallBiz, but of me too!
Looking for ways to make your company more innovative? You'll enjoy the cover piece, "Ideas That Bloom". Ever heard of Numi Tea, the folks that created flowering teas that hit the market in 2005? They are featured in this pieace as are a good handful of other intelligent business owners who are sharing their ideas and tips. Great stuff!
This issue of SmallBiz, whether planned or not, seems to focus on health and family too. Between discussion about family-owned and family-friendly businesses and the teen niche and giving kids a healthy start (thanks to concerned entrepreneurial parents), there's a lot here for the family-focused in our realm of small- and home-based businesses.
That said, I do want to dig deeper into this magazine...so I'll "see" you around the back cover!
