As you've probably noticed, a good number of the small- and home-based business owners I've interviewed here at SmallBizMentor are writers, and that's not purely by chance. Your fellow entrepreneurs are authors who choose to market themselves and run their careers like a business (rather than hope that their Great American Novel just somehow makes it to print) or they are business people who understand the importance of becoming an expert in their fields...so they've taken the time to write books and articles about their area of expertise to build their businesses.
In honor of the "share and share alike" attitude of some of these writers, and to encourage and support those of you who are just starting out, I've decided to declare Wednesdays my Writer Tip day. Each Wednesday you'll be able to find links to websites and suggested reading lists that will cater to your needs as an author. Don't be shy...email me (Melonie{at}SmallBizMentor{dot}com) with your favorite titles and websites so I can list them. Be sure to include your own website or book purchasing information so I can give you a shout out!

Don't forget to check out Workerette.com...I'll be posting tips for women writers there each Wednesday too!
