Those of you who are operating brick-and-mortar stores or dealing with clients face to face more frequently than those of us who are working primarily online will benefit greatly from Dan Tudor's posts over at LandingTheDeal. I especially enjoyed his comments about a recent trip to CompUsa.
E-shop owners, don't think you're off the hook when it comes to crafting a proposal, hooking a client, closing the deal or providing excellent customer service. It is, in my opinion, even more important that those of us who don't have the benefit of direct interaction with our potential consumers create a truly human experience for them when they deal with us. Don't believe me? Read Dan's entry about getting to the point in your proposals. How very important it is that we do so in well-worded emails and on our websites if we can't be in the office or at the coffee shop trying to pull in that client!
