Alright writers, who's headed to California for the 36th Annual Mount Hermon Christian Writers Conference next month? I checked the mail today and lo and behold, there's a big hurkin' postcard for what appears to be one super-sized conference for Christian writers.
According to the postcard, the event includes 69 individual workshops, a day-long professional Career Track, and a free manuscript critique service (better brush the dust off that manu!). Other tracks include a children's track, teen track, article writing, mentoring/tutorial for fiction writers, and a ministry track for pastors and missionaries.
The conference begins 7 April 2006 and lasts five days and is limited to 400 registrants. The keynote speaker is Phil Callaway, editor of Prairie Bible Institute's Servant magazine and author of 15 books. The faculty includes more than 20 Christian publishers and ten Christian magazine editors, along with 30 freelance writers. You can get the skinny on their faculty, prices, and other details over at MountHermon.org.
