Are you an independent businessperson working as a sales consultant for a company like Tupperware, Avon, etc? If so, keep an eye on IMN's new e-mail tool, called "Party Pulse". My colleague Anissa DeGrasse caught my eye today when she passed along the goods on this new program.
According to Pamela Parker over at Clickz.com IMN's "Party Pulse" lets the parent company create content that can be sent out via email to current and prospective customers. Independent sales consultants supply the contact information, which is used to personalize the message, and in return the consultants receive monthly reports that will help them build relationships and, hopefully, business.
The first customer is PartyLite, which offers candles, candle holders and other home decor items through their home parties. According to Ray Schultz over at Chief Marketer, PartyLite has been working with IMN for e-zines for some time now. This new program appears to allow consultants greater marketing opportunity (and access to research) while affording the company control over its brand.
With all the talk about the importance of e-zines to marketing and brand-building efforts these days, this is a concept to keep an eye on, especially if you are considering becoming an independent sales rep with a similar company. One of the main issues to consider when sizing up a direct sales opportunity is how much support and training you'll receive from an upline when it comes time to build your own business. Tools like this could sure come in handy, especially if you haven't dealt with such programs in the past and don't quite know where to begin when it comes to marketing your new-found brand to potential customers.
